Words from my Clients
Joseph A. Bubba, Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba, P.C.
At the outset, I should note that the leadership of our Firm was very skeptical about the benefits of a [Management] Consultant. Like many service firms we pride ourselves on the professional advice we provide to clients, but from an organizational perspective we had very little experience in addressing our internal needs. With rapid growth, we had reached a point where our decision-making process had stagnated and was often a “compromise” of strongly-held opinions. Lorri Perkins taught us (or reminded us) that fact-based decisions are critically important to successful organizations. She spent a great deal of time with very different personalities and brought us all around to the same end point. That end point still guides our governance philosophy and when we get off-track we are likely to remind each other of the “Perkins Initiative”. That is our quick reminder to accept our very different backgrounds and personalities and to focus on making a decision based upon facts with an emphasis on the best interest of the Firm.
Ken Wilkins, Vice President, Business Development
Delaware Valley Floral Group
Lorri has the rare ability to “create” content based on what our leadership team needed most. She doesn’t just adapt existing curriculum but instead was able to assess the help our team most needed and provide relevant training. Lorri cares about results and is driven to insure the work she does is providing value to the people she is working with.
Lorri works in a very collaborative style with our team and was able to quickly build trust throughout the organization. Lorri’s style was as effective with frontline supervisors as it was with C-Level executives.
Jack Chidester, President and CEO
Delaware Valley Floral Group
Lorri's commitment to our business is reassuring. It’s hard to discern if she works for her own consulting firm or is a full time member of our team. She takes initiative and often goes beyond our terms with her to fulfill her commitment to all of us at the DVFG. On a personal note, I’ve been in business for over 35 years now and can state, without hesitation, that Lorri is the most effective leadership development professional that I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with and strongly recommend her to any organization looking to address this need.
Dave Griffith, Executive Director
Episcopal Community Services (ECS)/ Board Chairman DVFG
I have worked with Lorri in three different capacities and have recommended her services to multiple organizations. We worked together as wardens (lay leaders) in our church while we were in transition, and she was a terrific partner as we worked through many complex issues. As Chairman of Delaware Valley Floral Group, the nation’s largest wholesale florist, I brought her in to create a leadership development program for all managers that is now regarded as a key driver of the firms success and growth. As Executive Director of Episcopal Community Services, I brought her in to coach and develop 30 key leaders to enable the agency to successfully navigate a period of transition, and position the agency for significant growth.
She is first a listener, then a teacher, then a coach, and throughout she is faithfully honest and value-driven. I would recommend her work without reservation as her results speak for themselves.
William A. “Bill” Graham IV, Chairman of the Board & CEO
The Graham Company
Lorri Perkins has worked with The Graham Company for over 10 years, and during that time has done a spectacular job developing leadership skills, problem solving skills and coaching present & future leaders.
For the last 5 years, Lorri has had an office at The Graham Company which allows flexibility and accessibility to meet with employees for training and development and coaching.
Virtually everyone that is a leader at The Graham Company has been developed under Lorri Perkins, including and up to the President & COO. Among the great things that Lorri Perkins has done for The Graham Company includes Leadership Training; One-On-One Coaching; and general Organizational Consulting. All these have led to tremendous improvements in The Graham Company and the way it functions.
Lucille Carey, Vice President – Operations and Human Resources
The Graham Company
Over the years, the Board of Directors has worked with only a few consulting firms. We have worked with Lorri Perkins of LFP Coaching & Consulting, off-and-on over the last ten years, and in a consistent, true partnership over the last 5 years. Our entire organization has benefited from Lorri’s coaching. I can honestly say that everyone in our company who has worked with her would give her an A+. Lorri is a good listener, very flexible and is a very patient person and terrific communicator.
I really like and respect Lorri. She has a professional approach and everything is well thought-out. She is smart, down-to-earth and able to give constructive feedback when needed. I value her opinions and guidance. She is by far the BEST and a true partner! I would highly recommend Lorri to other firms. I hope we continue our work relationship for many years.
